This policy applies to all users of schools.novaed.cn worldwide, including families, students, school representatives, and visitors. Where your location triggers additional rights — for residents of the People's Republic of China under PIPL, or residents of the European Economic Area under GDPR — those rights are set out below.

We do not collect payment card details. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (health, ethnicity, political views) except where voluntarily provided in a free-text field.

Children under 14 (PIPL): Under Chinese law, processing the personal information of persons under 14 requires verified consent from a parent or legal guardian. If registering on behalf of a child under 14, a parent or guardian must complete the registration process and provide consent. Parents and guardians complete account registration on behalf of children under 14 and provide consent during that process. We will not knowingly process personal information of a child under 14 without verifiable guardian consent.
Users under 18: Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors in their care. If you believe a minor's data has been collected without appropriate consent, contact hello@novaed.cn and we will delete it promptly.

Novateur Education Consulting is based in Shanghai. Our platform serves users globally. Personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside China and outside the EEA.
For users in China (PIPL Article 38): Personal data is stored on servers in mainland China and Hong Kong SAR. Transfers between mainland China and Hong Kong SAR are conducted in accordance with applicable PIPL requirements and relevant PRC regulations governing such transfers.
For users in the EEA (GDPR Chapter V): Transfers outside the EEA are made under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) issued by the European Commission, or other appropriate safeguards as required under GDPR Chapter V.

We implement TLS encryption for all data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel, and regular security assessments to protect your personal information.
