Zhuhai International School

Zhuhai International School (ZIS) is a community of learners drawn from across the world, educating students from Early Years through to Grade 12 in the coastal city of Zhuhai.

Our academic programme follows the International Baccalaureate from beginning to end. Students start with the Primary Years Programme, where learning is built around inquiry and children are encouraged to ask questions before they are given answers. They move into the Middle Years Programme, which connects subjects to one another and to the world beyond the classroom. In the senior school, the Diploma Programme prepares them for university study and for the independence it demands.

That progression matters. Because students move through a single continuous framework, what they learn in one year is built on deliberately in the next, and the habits they form early, of curiosity and reflection and intellectual honesty, carry through to their final examinations.

We also believe an education is measured by more than its results. Students are encouraged to pursue what interests them, to contribute to the community around them, and to develop the character that makes their achievements worth something. Our aim is that they leave us thinking clearly, acting decently, and ready for whatever they choose next.
